Queen of the Kitchen

It was a landmark birthday this past June for my Mom! I painted her a cake with a crown on top. She loves crowns and she's defianatly the Queen of the Kitchen so it only made sense to whip this painting up for her. I used acrylic on canvas and embellished with rhinestones and glitter. I love working with metallic paint too it really gives a nice effect in the light. I love the bright pinks and greens. I wish I had more time to paint because I really enjoy it! I usually don't have an idea of what my paintings will turn out like. I never sketch it first. It always seems to just kind of reveal itself as I putz along.

There I was checking my darling daughter's blogs ……every mom loves a fun and special birthday celebration with their family as I was blessed to enjoy but not every mom receives a darling painting of their birthday cake from their daughter with a crown just ready to settle on the top (any time now) in honor of a landmark moment of time and chance! I L-O-V-E pink and green, I L-O-V-E cake, I L-O-V-E expecting the "crowning moment" and more than all of that I L-O-V-E our Gigi !!! Thank you all over again………I totally know there is a major supply of crowns to go around……there are crowns for every mom out there so please join with me and Dream Big every day………and as you receive a crown(s) we will all "feel" it in our hearts!
From one Mom to another let's celebrate each other, every single day……remember no dream is ever too big! Love, love California Kiss Studio, Gig's Mom
